Discover Maison Bonaparte, where Napoleon Bonaparte was born and raised, explore the old town with its pastel-painted houses along the narrow streets, enter the cathedral where Napoleon was baptized, visit the Citadelle built in the 16th century surrounded by St François beach, Place Foch and its market full of local flavors with food and handicrafts made in Corsica.

The experience then takes you to the Piazza del Casone, where Napoleon Bonaparte used to play as a child. This square is dominated by the imposing monument to Napoleon I, preceded by two eagles and a huge sloping stele recalling all his victories.

Then leave Ajaccio’s city center to reach the Sanguinaires islands via the cycle path that runs alongside the turquoise waters. Stop off at the Chapelle des Grecs before taking a dip on one of the wonderful beaches lining the route des Sanguinaires!

Classified as a protected natural site, the Sanguinaires archipelago comprises 4 islands inhabited by a wide variety of flora and fauna, including numerous species of birds such as cormorants, peregrine falcons, Sardinian warblers and seagulls.

You can explore the Parata tower erected on the summit of the peninsula of the same name in the 16th century by the Genoese. It offers a stunning panoramic view of the Sanguinaires archipelago. From up there, you can even photograph dolphins if you’re lucky!
