Within 2h30 you’ll discover :

The Bonaparte House where was born and grew up the Emperor until his 9 years old. Since the beginning of the 20th century, it’s classified Historic Monument and its became a National Museum in 1967.

The Santa Maria Assunta cathedral in which was baptized Napoleon Bonaparte in 1771. The marble baptistery is still present at the entrance of the cathedral.

The Foch Square (so-called Place des Palmiers), the most important square of the Imperial City was at the heart of the urban development project of the city proposed by Napoleon Bonaparte. At the top of this one, you’ll make a stop in front the impressive statue of Napoleon as Premier Consul with the 4 lions fountain like pedestal.  On this famous square there is the Ajaccio’s producers market. It’s full of local flavours with food products and handicrafts, all made in Corsica. This is THE meeting point of the local people in the morning.

The Casone Square, with it’s Napoleon cave. History tells that when Napoleon was young, he often went under these big rocks to meditate on his destiny. A Napoleon statue with its colonel of the guard habit is also built  at the top of the Square’s stairs, it’s the replica of the statue located at the Invalides in Paris.

In the Genoese old town you will also ride around narrow streets lined with pastel-coloured houses, joined funny facts from our nice guide.

Our guide will show you the “Greeks Chapel”. At the end of the 17th century, it was made available for a greek colony from a village next to Cargese who had to take refuge in Ajaccio under the thread of the shepherds from Vico. That’s why it’s still called “Greeks Chapel”.

Get back on your e-bike and follow the guide to the Sanguinaires Islands, you will travel along the turquoise waters bordering the Sanguinaires road.

At the end of this road you will find paradise in other words the Grand Site of Parata with the Sanguinaires Islands. Classified protected natural site the archipelago of Sanguinaires includes 4 islands occupied by a varied fauna and flora with many birds species such as the cormorant, the peregrine falcon, the Sardinian warbler and the seagull.

On the top of the Parata peninsula is built the Parata Tower by the Genoese at the 16th century.

After the ride full of history and postcard landscapes, you will go back in direction of the Tourism Office downtown, always with our great guide !

Superbe ballade à vélo, vue sur les iles sanguinaires… Tout était bien. Grégory est un guide très sympa, il nous apprend beaucoup de choses sur le paysage que l’on voit. Un grand merci.
C’est à faire.
